5. Hispanic Society Event Thursday, December 3 – Luis Perez Oramus Lecture on Toreo    

    (this will take the place of the December monthly meeting)

6. Possible presentation on Sunday, December 6 of Joaquin Arjona’s Book “Un Siglo de

    Instantes Taurinas”

7. Program at Instituto Cervantes on Tuesday, December 8 to preview the December 10

    Granados concert, which is a part of a series of events to mark 100 years since the

    death of composer Granados.  Doug Riva, NYCCT Member and a well-known

    authority on Granados will perform in the last two of the three concerts, as well a give

     other concerts in New York.

8. Hispanic Society – Granados Concerts beginning Tuesday, December 10.(Doug Riva

    will perform in the Spring.) – Details below

“From Barcelona with Passion: Enrique Granados in New York" The series will focus on the works of the Spanish composer, Enrique Granados (1867-1916). Granados spent the final months of his life in New York, during which he performed several concerts that were highly acclaimed.

The photos is an original of Manolete on August 26, 1947 during his performance in the Plaza de Toros de Cuatro Caminos in Santander.
